Rooted in the great vocal tradition of Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé and Nat King Cole, Mackenzie brings an improviser’s instinct to timeless standards with a fresh style, infectious charm and immaculate phrasing.
Iain will be joined by his long-standing jazz trio, featuring pianist Ross Stanley, bassist Tom Farmer and drummer Matt Home. Expect an evening of Great American Songbook classics delivered with irresistible swing.
Iain is the principal vocalist with Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra and a regular soloist with the BBC Big Band. He has performed with jazz legends Kenny Wheeler and Abdulla Ibrahim, and has opened for the likes of Robbie Williams and Seal.
